The new flat... life of a missionary!

Danbury, Connecticut!

Hello family and friends!

Okay so the emailing situation is a struggle today so don't have much time...but know I love you all & that I'll respond to emails next week when I have more time :)

This past week I said "goodbye" to my beloved Harlem and said "hello" to Danbury, Connecticut! I am also with one of the coolest humans on the planet, HERMANA EGBERT! We were so happy when we found out that we would be serving together. The area is so super cute and all of the leaves are turning. Fall is the best!

I will be serving in a Spanish/Portugese branch. I am super excited to pick up some Portugese here I was able to meet a few of the ward memebers last night and they were so loving + wonderful.

Love you all,
Hermana Worley

Hi everyone!

Hi everyone!

Girls, how did you enjoy Women's Confrence?!?!?!

My hermanas & I sure did LOVE it. We still can't stop talking about it! πŸ‘ΈπŸ‘ΈπŸ‘Έ Here in the city we had a "Girls Night" at the Lincoln Square chapel which is connected to the Manhattan Temple.
(one of my favorite spots in the city)
The girls night was combined with Spanish, English & ASL sisters in the church. It was such a wonderful evening filled with cupcakes + popcorn + women's confrence + so many women with great faith.

My favorite talk was from President Utchdorf, he spoke about three sisters.
Sad, Mad, & Glad
It can be found right here:

So I'm not sure if everyone in this group knows, but I'm a big reader. I LOVE to read books! Reading the Book of Mormon has always been one of the ways that I find peace in this life.

One of my favorite books from back home is called Life of Pi by Yan Martel.
In Life of Pi the hero explains his feelings about Christ, he says:

“I couldn’t get Him out of my head. I still can’t. I spent three solid days thinking about Him. The more He bothered me, the less I could forget Him. And the more I learned about Him, the less I wanted to leave Him”

I feel this way about our Savior too. I love Him and the more that I learn & read about Him + His life, the closer I want to be to Him.
I have a strong testimony that He is willing to draw as near to us as we allow Him too. πŸ’›

I am super excited for general confrence this weekend. I have been looking forward to it for 6 months!!!!!
I hope you can take some time to listen/read/record the words that will be spoken this weekend.

One of the best seasons is here so let the fall festivities begin.

My October was kicked off with a really lame COLD/FLU. The last few days I have spent resting at home. My hermanas have been awesome with helping me out. All is well and I'm feeling much better. πŸ˜™

Oh my, my heart is FULL today.
General Conference was everything I needed and more.
I loved it ALL and could go on and on about everything but I'll sum up with D&C 84:88 which is one of my fav scriptures was mentioned TONS of times during conference
"And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up."
Isn't that just beautiful?? And so true. We have surrounding help all of the time. I love you all so so much and I love this Gospel. I love that all the only things in my bag every day are Book of Mormons (in multiple languages) (and laurabars because #fuel) so that I can share this happy message with others!!!

I hope you all have a FABULOUS week and know I love you :) I love this Gospel with my WHOLE heart and I say that in the name of Jesus Christ amen :)

Love,
Hermana Worley
