Fillin' the spiritual tool belt

This past week wrapped up in one word: BUSY!!!

Sister Randall & I returned home each evening so tired. Heavenly Father has been blessing us with so many souls to visit in the Middletown area. We saw miracles.
One of our favorites was from a friend of ours that we are teaching, she told us that she had a super spiritual expierence with reading the Book of Mormon. She said:
"All 6 of my children were running around the house. I sat down, opened up the Book of Mormon & all of a sudden it felt like I was in a different world. Everything went quiet...and then when I put the book down, everything went back to normal, it was wierd."

There is a theme has really touched my heart.
It's that, "YOU are a child of God."

This is the first point, from the first lesson found in Preach My Gospel that all missionaries share with others.

I have noticed that the more I learn & understand the real me, that I am a spirit child of a loving God, the more that I want to share this message of the gospel with other people!!! The message that pasts all of our accomplisments, downfalls, successes, failures, possessions, thoughts, doubts, troubles and fears. I trust, with all that I have, that He wants more than anything is for us to return back home to Him. Whether we recognize it or not, we are all on a journey, and it's up to each one of us to decide where we want this jouney to go, TODAY!

YOU are a child of God, and He WILL help you along.

I am thankful for this time of my life that I have to really focus on filling up my spiritual tool belt & ALSO for all of the birthday love that has been sent my way!

CHEERS to 22!

I LOVE being a MISSIONARY! 5/21/18

Blessings:
-Brunch with the Relief Society
-MY ORANGE RAIN BOOTS!
-Sister RANDALL- she helps me feel the spirit on the daily.
-BAHB, our next door neighbor who takes such good care of us sisters. This past week he gifted us a mini waffle maker.
-Alma 31:38....I know that NO matter our allflications we CAN be swallowed up in the JOY of Christ + that prayers of faith are POWERFUL....They can and do change the course of history!

My heart is filled with gratitude this morning.
What are some things on your blessing list today?
I'd love to hear!

Middletown has been doing so well. Our progressing investigator has been out of town camping so there is not much of an update with her but we are thrilled to welcome her back into town tomorrow.
It has been a very rainy week which has made everything EXTRA GREEN + lovely. Today is the first day that the clouds have parted for the sun to shine so Sister Randall and I will be soaking it all in.

Yesterday we were informed that one of our members was hospitalized so we made a trip to the outeredge of our area in the mission to go visit her. (To drive across my area, top to bottom is about a 1.5 hour drive & left to right is a 40 minute drive. Needless to say, our little red subaru is a CHAMP)
Afterward our visit, we decided to spend some more time in Port Jervis. We felt strongly that we needed to go visit a part-member family.
When we got to their home we found a sweet lady sitting on her front porch with her bunny. She is not a member of the church but her husband is. She testified to us that she knows the church is true, but can't quit smoking. She has an impeccably stong testimony of priesthood blessings, and we asked if she would like to recieve a preisthood blessing to be able to quit smoking. She was silent for a moment and then responded
"No, I would be willing to try it.....Actually I KNOW it will work."
Her neighbor was just in awe listening to the conversation & he wants to quit smoking too. We will be going back with priesthood holders this Wednesday evening for them to recieve a blessing and to help them begin thier journey to come closer to their Heavenly Father.

Being a missionary is humbing, rewarding & I truly do L-O-V-E my calling!!!

Thank you for your prayers!

XO,
Hermana Worley

MIRACLES!!! 5/9/18

This past week was really wonderful and I am SO excited to share a Wednesday Miracle with you all!

Here it is:

As we were tracting around we knocked a door & we were greeted by a cute spanish speaking abuela👵🏽! As we conversed she explained that she just moved here from Puerto Rico and has been looking for a church to attend! (Whoohoo!!🎉)
So we gave her the directions to our church building and then a younger girl came to the door, pulled our cute older friend back and closed the door on us..... *face palm*

We decided to tract around a little bit more and saw an UNcomfy opportunity to SPRINT up to a man who was moving his lawn haha. That didn't go super well as he was trying to finish up moving his lawn before the sun set but he let us leave him a Book of Mormon in his mailbox.📬

The REAL milgaro happened as we were walking back to our car!!!! We saw a vehicle pull into the drive way of the first house we knocked (with the cute abuela👵🏽!!) so we decided to EMBRACE the UNcomfy situation #2 and began bookig it up the driveway to talk with her.
We asked her "What does God want to for?" she thought about it for awhile, she said that she didn't know. As we were testifing about her purpose she said that she wants her daughters to be as happy as we are!! We were able to testify that the message share will help EVERY aspect of her life, including the lives of her daughters. We have plans to go back this Sunday evening to teach her entire family!!!! 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦
She also asked us to come back to teach her sister and mother in law who will be here next week!

Que GRANDIOSO es nuestro LLAMAMIENTO!!!! 💥
p.s. As a result of this we found 7 potential investigators + 1 new solid investigator.

What miracles did you see this past week?
I would LOVE to hear about them!

Also, I can't forgot to mention that one of the GREATEST MIRACLES in my life is my MOM! (i love you too dad but your day is in June) My happiness booster for this week is that I get to skype Momma Worley this Sunday evening. I am greatful for my earthly mom + my Heavenly Mother. If I can grow to be 1/2 as wonderful as they are I would be a happy girl. They have both played an important role in my life. I CAN'T WAIT to give MOMMA WORLEY a BIG hug this AUGUST!!!! Please be sure to give YOUR MOM a big hug this sunday if you can.

Sending light + love,
Hermana Worley

GROWTH in the UNCOMFY!

Hello everyone!!

Sister Gill & I have been working on GROWING together! Which has been one of the best things!!! To do this we have been noticing & focusing on going for the things that make us feel UNcomfortable in missionary work....because there is NO growth in the comfy and NO comfy in the GROWTH!!!
Because of this goal our past week has been full of things like:
-Knocking doors at 8:45 pm.... (people like their evening hours)
-Removing SPIDERS from our home for Sister Gill #STILLUNCOMFY #SOS #HELLOSPRING
-Pushing ourselves with time management!
-Running further distances in the morning
-Roleplays with members!!

Haha so here is a little story for you all....
...We were walking back to our car through a parking lot & passed a cute older lady. When we got back to our car & were sitting in our seats, Sister Gill turned to me and said "Hey I think I heard that lady say "God"...should we go ask her why she said His name?" We looked at eachother and we BOTH knew what we needed to do. (a bit uncomfortable? YES! Our fingers were crossed that she was talking about Him and not using His name in vain) So we unbuckled our seatbelts, walked up to her & explained that we are the sister missionaries, we heard her say Gods name and wanted to ask her why He is important to her!! We were able to share with her about the message of The Restoration in the parking lot! Our hearts were FULL of gratitude to Heavenly Father for placing her in our path & we thanked Him for helping us be BRAVE.

Cheers to doing things that make us a little uncomfy in this life! I testify that our Heavenly Father wont allow us to fail as we strive to follow in our Saviors footsteps. HE will help us be BRAVE to do the things that are kinda uncomfy. Let us all choose to press forward with FAITH and kick that fear to the curb!

Have a WONDERFUL week.

LOVE + LIGHT,

Sister Worley :)
